Why Your Role Matters:
This is a pivotal project position supporting the planning and implementation of business readiness and engagement activities to facilitate delivery of Program Phoenix compliance initiatives into business-as-usual operations. As Faculty of Divisions Engagement Manager, you will work closely with internal stakeholders to understand end user need and implement compliance initiatives to ensure program outcomes are fully realised across time and attendance as well as sustainable pay confidence activities across our contingent workforce.
Engaged across a broad range of activities, you will build strong and effective professional networks and collaborate across the multidisciplinary program as well engaging with the HRBP team, senior leaders and crucially, the end users to support the delivery of efficient work practices that actively improve efficiency and mitigate risk across casual staff engagement.
Reporting into the Engagement Lead, you will drive implementation of initiatives developed by Program Phoenix and ensure adoption across UNSW. Your day to day will include:
- Reviewing and undertaking readiness activities and training and adaption of program initiatives
- Managing faculty/division stakeholder engagement to identify, support and report on dependencies, risks, issues.
- Working with the Project Team/s and key stakeholders to monitor and report on progress of initiatives; identifying and possible proposing solutions.
- End to end implementation of initiatives developed by Program phoenix and ensure adoption.
Further responsibilities for senior applicants include:
- Leading the planning and implementation of business readiness and engagement activities and facilitate delivery of plans.
- Developing and implementing engagement strategies that align with Program outcomes and the broader goals of the organisation.
- Managing project dependencies, risks, issues.
- Identify potential challenges and risks to the adoption and implementation of Phoenix initiatives and support appropriate mitigation strategies
- Oversee and deliver effective communications with key stakeholders, and provide influential input with stakeholders to achieve program outcomes.
Who You Are: Holding a deep understanding of contingent workforce engagement across faculties/divisions in higher education, you’ll be confident in building relationships with senior leaders to support the progress of the program aims across contingent workforce engagement, alongside the following skills and experience:
Level 8:
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail for deliverables produced.
- Demonstrated success working effectively and collaboratively on initiatives with a range of people at different levels within an organisation.
- High level of experience working with a range of computer systems and applications, including UNSW Systems.
- Excellent time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and productively within a team, but also to take initiative and work independently while managing competing demands.
In addition, for Level 9:
- Demonstrated experience driving the development and implementation of effective solutions and initiatives to address complex problems.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively deliver high quality and solution-oriented engagement strategies to a diverse group of clients, including senior managers and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and key client groups.
- High level interpersonal and communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence key decision makers.
