The Lecturer position will be committed to delivering high quality teaching (theory and practice) and to undertake research leading to publication in high quality journals and the possibility of securing external research grants.
Some key skills required:
- Postgraduate Qualification (e.g., PhD and Master) in orientation and mobility OR other vision science- related discipline.
- Extensive professional and practical experience in orientation and mobility.
- Experience in teaching (theory and practice) orientation and mobility.
- Certified as COMS or capacity for certification by Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation and Educational Professionals is desirable.
- Demonstrated evidence of effective engagement with external orientation and mobility agencies and professionals.
- Evidence of effective teaching experience and engagement.
- Demonstrated success or capacity in conducting high quality research, and ability to collaborate and contribute to existing School research programs.
- A record, or demonstrated ability, of success in external research funding.
- Capacity to supervise student research projects in PhD, Honours, Masters, and Orientation and Mobility programmes.
