About the Role
The focus of this role is to lead complex project mapping 'as is' and 'to be' processes across the employee lifecycles, ensuring requirements are clearly elicited within the program and to senior stakeholders and for the strategic planning and development of project plans for required initiatives. This position reports to the Program Lead, Project Phoenix and will be supported by a HR Process Analyst.
- Lead the project of mapping all current state and future state HR processes, including development of project documentation (including but not limited to, business cases, business requirements, project plans, user acceptance plans, status updates including Steering committee papers, closure documentation) and tailor this for audiences with an array of technical understanding.
- Liaise across University programs and BAU initiatives to proactively identify and validate project interdependencies for solution design and project implementation.
- Perform a lead role in recommending an appropriate business analysis approach, toolsets, and deliverables.
- Actively support best practice solutions and continuous improvement opportunities across projects.
- Provide subject matter expertise in HR business processes and the associated HRIS application functions, including core HR/personnel, payroll, recruitment, and integration with other applications and functions.
- Identify issues, risks and benefits of existing and proposed solutions and outlining business impacts.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to collect data and review business requirements to prepare reports for system/process performance review and decision-making purposes.
- Design supporting resources to support operating model implementation.
- Assist in the completion of relevant reports to Boards, Committees, Group, Management & Business Units, and regulators as required.
About You
- Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
- At minimum of 7-10 years professional experience as a business analyst or equivalent experience in business system analysis or business systems support role, in a large and complex organisation, ideally in higher education.
- Extensive experience in establishing Business Analyst practices supporting the development of policies, methods, tools and templates commonly used and followed by Business Analysts in the delivery of their services.
- High-level knowledge and competency in the use of professional business analysis techniques and methods (e.g. Use Case Analysis, UML).
- Exceptional skills in the use of standard office toolsets including word processors, spreadsheets, drawing/diagramming tools (e.g. Visio), presentation tools (e.g. PowerPoint) and project management tools (e.g. MS Project).
- Extensive experience with technology implementation across CRM, ERP and device management systems.
- Has a proven track record of working within appropriate project management methodologies utilising the best of Waterfall and Agile methods.
